Brain Rott

Sometimes I get frustrated because I get so focused on one thing that then I don’t get things like laundry, my cats cat pan, or shower. Like I just finished a crochet project and I have such a big urge to start a new project and draw instead of the stuff I need to do. Why is my brain like that?

I feel this soo much. Living on my own has made it so I can sit in a spot and read for 3 hours when I have 10+ urgent tasks that need to be done. They pile up over days/weeks and eventually it’s too overwhelming to decide where to start. I also have a cat and I’ve started putting sticky notes by the litter to remind me it exists.

It's the story of my life! 😂 If I focus on cleaning the house I will keep on trying to find what to clean even when everything is tidy (this happens very rarely 😂). Most of the time the focus is on random things.. But I just forget that laundry exists at all. 😂😂 I have this app Tody that's helps to track how often I clean the house and what needs my attention. 🤪 I also added all my bills there because I forget they exist. Another app I just started to use (like 4 days, lol) is Habitica and it got me hooked right away and this week I have cleaned my house for 30 min every night. Which is insane to me! 😍 But I have added every room separately and put on 2 or 5 min time limit so it seems very easy. And it is! Some nights I could even organize cluttered area in those 5 min! 😍 So this has worked wonders for me to keep not forgetting about other stuff.. And just keep up with everyday stuff. Because the app is really like a game so I want to advance and in order to advance you need to tick off your to do's. 😁👌
