Frustration! 😳

I realize how frustrating it is for us not to do what we planned because we forgot; this leads to various situations such as self-criticism, self-deprecation, To stagnate, to overthink, yada yada. How do you deal with frustration? Does it have any hacks like A change of mindset? It has a magic button that turns it off for you?(that would be so nice if you Teach me🫠)

I can tell you this: unfortunately, there is no magic button that can be pressed to solve this problem. However, when it comes to remembering things that need to be done or tasks you’ve set for yourself, alarms definitely help. I started therapy a few weeks ago because of my ADHD, as I struggle a lot with self-critical behavior. I was told that my lists are far too packed. I try to do far too much. I set expectations for myself that are simply too high. And it might be the same for you, even if you feel like it isn’t. Because that’s exactly how it was for me. Try talking to someone you trust and ask, ā€œHey, what do you think? Am I taking on too much? Is this normal?ā€ Or whatever feels right to you. Then actually look at the feedback. You can also do this reflection on your own, of course. After that, simply plan fewer things for each day. My psychologist also told me that I need to write down at least one thing every day that I accomplished and did well, so that I actively focus on the positive—and not only on the negative things I didn’t do or didn’t manage to complete. That way, I don’t fall into self-criticism, but instead focus on what I did do and what I did achieve. Maybe this will help you as well. I can’t tell you whether this is truly the magic solution. I’m still in the process of figuring that out myself—but perhaps it helps you.
